In a government act on last Thursday November 13th and headed by the president, Cristina Fernández, the launching of the National Program of Use of Bioethanol was carried out in which the resolutions were presented regulating the obligatory use of the bioethanol for its mixture with naphthas. The act that was developed in the Belgrano room of the Ministry of Economy and Production, had the presence of the governors of Chaco, Jorge Capitanich; of Formosa, Gildo Insfrán; of Jujuy, Walter Barrionuevo; of Tucumán, José Alperovich; the vice governor of Salta, Andrés Zottos; the minister of the Interior, Florencio Randazzo; of Federal Planning, Public investment and Services, Julio Of Vido; national and provincial legislators, the president of the Cámara Argentina de Biocombustibles (CARBIO), Ing. They seek to end up processing 5,5 million tons by 2015. The drop of the petroleum and its relationship with the price of the raw materials. The long term project allows to overcome a crisis as the current one.Â

The biofuels production is in sustained growth. In reference with the biodiesel, during next months we will arrive to 1,9 million annual tons (Mt), with expectations of increasing that figure in next years. “I estimate that toward 2015 the 5,5 Mt will be exceeded”, Claudio Molina sketched , Executive Director of the Asociación Argentina de Biocombustibles. On the other hand, regarding the anhydrous bioethanol, it is expected that towards ends of 2010 the sector be under conditions of assisting the 300.000 annual m3 that, in a beginnig, will demand the oil companies. Leer más »

Last month argentinean external biofuel sales were declared for 118.901 tons to an average pondered value of 1215 u$s/ton versus 1332 u$s/t on September.Â

On October of 2008 Argentinean biodiesel exports were declared for 118.901 tons to an average pondered value of 1215 u$s/ton, with a minimum of 828 u$s/ton and a maximum of 1590 u$s/ton. 91,5% was destined to USA and 8,5% to the Netherlands (UE-27). Leer más »
