carbio-cam-biocombustiblesIn a government act on last Thursday November 13th and headed by the president, Cristina Fernández, the launching of the National Program of Use of Bioethanol was carried out in which the resolutions were presented regulating the obligatory use of the bioethanol for its mixture with naphthas. The act that was developed in the Belgrano room of the Ministry of Economy and Production, had the presence of the governors of Chaco, Jorge Capitanich; of Formosa, Gildo Insfrán; of Jujuy, Walter Barrionuevo; of Tucumán, José Alperovich; the vice governor of Salta, Andrés Zottos; the minister of the Interior, Florencio Randazzo; of Federal Planning, Public investment and Services, Julio Of Vido; national and provincial legislators, the president of the Cámara Argentina de Biocombustibles (CARBIO), Ing. Fernando Peláez, the director of the Asociación Argentina de Biocombustibles e Hidrógeno, Claudio Molina, and managers of the sector.

This announcement, carried out by the national government – that establishes the complementary norms to the laws 26.093 and 26.334 – creates a regulatory mark starting from which the national enterprises will be able to carry out the necessary investments for the formation of a bioethanol offer in the internal market that allows the obligatory cut of naphtha with 5% or more of bioethanol for the 2010 come true.Â

The president of CARBIO, Engineer Fernando Peláez pointed out that “without a doubt, this measure will impact the decision of investments in the sector positively, increasing the participation of the renewable energy in the energy matrix, what is translated in a positive impact on the environment. And, it will also add an important value to the economy and it will generate a great quantity of direct and indirect employments in the country.”Â

CARBIO is a nonprofit civil association whose main objective is the development and promotion of the production and commercialization of biofuels and of its industry; in order to contribute actively to the economic and sustainable growth of the country. It is formed by companies of great prestige in Argentina that produce more than 95% of the biofuel of our country.
